Blender to maya export issues
WebOK, tried exporting/re-importing into Blender, result is somewhat similar to Maya one (though no stray faces in UV map). Thing is, FBX only support basic UV map, not UV seam edge data. So i guess with that slightly weird UV map, all three apps rebuild their data as best as they can from incomplete FBX info.

WebJan 12, 2024 · So here is the workaround for this: 1) select the mesh. 2) use "Export Selection" Command. 3) export it as "OBJexport" (make sure that you have the "objexport.Bundle" activated in the Plugin Manager) 4) reimport into new Maya scene. 5) export FBX again. I hope this helps!
