WebOptical camo works just fine but the epic one doesn't work if you take the ninjutsu skill 'ghost' (increase detection time). However it does work with the legendary one. Also skills that increase melee damage like "steel and chrome" do affect throwing knives. And the "sniper" skill that increases headshot damage affects knife headshots as well.

When it happens, don't panic, just open Native Settings UI menu and check/set your settings back, than back to game, hit quick save where you are and hit quick load - "voila"...
