Even with a huge amount of guard skill gear (and guarding quite a lot!) the skillups are very few and very far between. Not to mention when I do get them (with food), they are 0.2 etc. Comparing Guard to Shield skill in the way it works - it is quite similar.. Yet Shield skills & caps so easily !
