Screening at-risk patients has helped with establishing a diagnosis, but to prevent complications that affect both patients’ morbidity and mortality requires more effective treatment modalities be available. WebT2DM needs to be considered as a component of the conse-quences of long COVID-19 and attention should be paid in terms of diabetic management. In subgroup analysis, there was a significant increase in the incidence of T2DM according to the severity of COVID-19 in the acute phase, which was also consistent with other cohort studies [11,12].
